MD Helicopters HAI HELI-EXPO |

Location:

Louisville, KY

Client Objectives:

MD Helicopters is an iconic American helicopter company founded by Howard Hughes and currently led by the visionary, Lynn Tilton. They approached Motif with the challenge to energize the launch of their newest helicopter at HAI 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Motif's Design:

Attendees entered the space through a massive transparent fabric arch. Intricate logo overlays were sewn into the fabric, and the gateway was halo lit with pliable LED lighting — casting an inviting glow around the entry and the beautiful fabric details.

Inside, a series of large conference rooms and a luxury VIP board room — fitted with beautiful bespoke furniture — provided private spaces for business discussions and client hospitality.

The exterior featured printed SEG panels that allowed for massive seamless graphics. Large, framed black-and-white photography highlighted MD’s production team and their “Made in America” messaging — a point of pride for Lynn and the whole company. The open simplicity of the floor plan was the perfect environment in which to display two of the new-model helicopters. Each aircraft was accompanied by touch-screen informational kiosks that also played MD corporate videos when not in use.

Results:

Over 300 people attended Lynn’s opening day press conference. And attendance only grew from there. The exhibit was a glowing beacon on the show floor that made MD’s presence at the industry’s largest event undeniable.

The Client Says

Truly the whole experience of working with Dave, Allison, Ben, and the team was great. Their on-site responsiveness, however, I think was over-the-top. We started our design process late – they got it done on time. We made changes on site – they executed flawlessly.
