Meet the Team

Designers, strategists, technologists, builders, tellers-of-stories, and sticklers-for-details. Our team itself is designed to engage.

Ben Guy Managing Partner

Ben’s reputation as one of the industry’s most respected designers was earned through years of dedication and hard work on his craft. Ben has grown Motif with passion and a process for delivering custom-designed properties at an affordable price.

Dave Hibel Partner

Dave is a dimensional branding and face-to-face marketing lifer who is laser-focused on saving the event marketing industry from mundane design, watered down brand experiences, plodding overhead structures and lackluster service.

Charles Lynch Shop Foreman

A member of Motif’s leadership committee, Chuck is responsible for everything in our production and warehousing process. His dedication to both his people and his mission has earned him the highest respect from clients and team members alike.

Pauleene Paule Office/Accounting/HR Manager

Michael Fidkowski VP of Sales

Delivering high energy and tangible value, Michael has a passion for building long-term client relationships. He says that’s an easy job at Motif because he can just share what we do and how we do it.

James Mischke Senior Account Director

We call Jim the Client Solutions Champion because he’s always providing innovative ideas that are right on-brand for our clients. His “hands-on, team-first” approach has proven to be a winning strategy on and off the show floor.

Charles Dreiling Carpenter

With so many Charles and Chucks here, we call Mr. Dreiling “Chuckles.” It’s fitting for a man who is always in a good mood while bringing the craftsmanship and quality required for the great work that makes our clients happy.

Grant Carlson Carpenter

Grant is a woodworking genius who also happens to be good with people. He was the lead carpenter on our work for Soraa that included a 9,000 lb. architectural lighting canopy and resulted in an Exhibitor Magazine Design Award in 2018

John Bartoszewski Carpenter

John was born to create with his hands. He never needs more than a good set of drawings, the right tools, and some peace and quiet to build you a masterpiece.

Stephen Paule Apprentice

Perhaps our friendliest teammate, Stephen can always be found whistling, singing, and building great things. And, while he’s a newcomer to the world of carpentry, Stephen has proven to be an incredibly quick learner and damn fine craftsman.

Eric Schuette AV Technician

Eric oversees the technology that turns our architectural designs into interactive experiences. More than just our tech guru, he is also someone you can count on for big-picture strategic thinking that puts your A/V installation over the top.

Guillermo Gomez Warehouse
