Looker JOIN, Looker User Conference |

Client Objectives:

JOIN, Looker’s  annual three-day conference hosted at the historic SVN event venue in San Francisco,  was designed to offer a unique opportunity for attendees to explore the latest in practical data skills, network with fellow data enthusiasts and engage with leaders across the data community.

The conference program included in-depth sessions, expert speakers and keynotes, over 35 hands-on labs and significant networking opportunities including the 2^nd floor Partner Pavilion with over 40 partners from the data community.  Other events surrounding JOIN 2019 include a Women in Tech happy hour and a Hackathon hosted by Looker’s engineering team, as well as in-person bootcamps for attendees to grow their Looker skills.

Halfway through the planning process it was announced that Google was poised to acquire Looker causing an already high-profile event to gain even more momentum, excitement and visibility.

Motif's Design:

Motif Events’ core responsibility was to provide the entirety of the Partner Pavilion floor which grew to feature 40 of Looker’s premier partners in turnkey exhibit packages based on their sponsorship level.   The Partner Pavilion area also featured Looker’s primary exhibit space – a 5,000 square foot area designed to be collaborative, vibrant and educational.  Motif also produced five executive level VIP board rooms for Looker’s top tier guests and for their own executive briefings.

The unique, historic venue with low ceilings, wavy floors and significant crowds provided a challenging but amazing venue for Looker and Motif to completely transform over a very short two day install.
